10th Annual Hope In Healing Scholarship Fund Campaign
We met and exceeded the $20,000 challenge! An additional
$10,000 gift will be contributed to the scholarship fund!
Every gift will directly fund therapy sessions for
survivors who are struggling financially.
Fund-A-Scholarship: $2,000 covers a survivor's weekly therapy fees for 6 months!
Help us meet the scholarship need of $40,000 so 20 low-income survivors can find healing this year!
Every dollar of your gift will directly cover therapy fees for
a survivor who relies on scholarship funding based on financial need.
“When I first came to Shepherd's I was just hoping to gather enough strength to be able to care for my daughters.
In my wildest dreams I had never imagined that I would find this kind of support and healing."
With tears of gratitude, Marjorie told her therapist,
"I'm finally able to be the kind of mother I've always hoped to be!”

More ways to donate
Legacy gifts provide critical support for the ongoing work of Shepherd's Counseling Services and create lasting healing opportunities for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse and their families. Considering a legacy gift that designates a bequest to Shepherd’s Counseling Services in your will or trust can be a way to add support to an organization you value that leaves your cash flow and current financial planning unchanged.
How it works:
- Include a bequest to Shepherd’s Counseling Services in your will or trust.
- Choose your bequest to be unrestricted or direct it to the Hope In Healing: Mary Bayard Honorary Scholarship Fund.
- Indicate a specific amount, or a percentage of the balance remaining in your estate or trust.
Some of the benefits of legacy planning include:
- Choosing which portion of your assets to designate towards the meaningful difference you would like your contribution to make,
- You can modify your bequest to address changing circumstances, and
- Under current tax law there is no upper limit on the estate tax deduction for your charitable bequests.
If you choose to name Shepherd’s Counseling Services as a beneficiary of your retirement plan, IRA, life insurance, or other accounts such as brokerage/securities (transfer on death account) or bank account (payable on death account), we recommend the following information on your beneficiary designation form:
