Get Involved!

Our executive director, Janice Palm, is interviewed by local television station Q13 and shares what anyone can say to support a survivor:

  • Wear an awareness pin. Available for purchase on our donate page. Delivery est. 5-10 business days.

  • Follow and share our Facebook posts throughout April from our Shepherd's Counseling Services Facebook Page or from our Turn the Light On Facebook Page.

  • Change your profile picture to build awareness using the image provided on our Facebook pages.

  • Color your hair blue and send us your picture to post! Rumor has it that someone around here used Berry Blue Jello to get their teal awareness spirit on!

  • Read and share our April blog post.

  • Keep your eye out on Facebook or if you're in Seattle drive by to check out our board of directors decoration of the Fremont "Waiting for the Interurban" statue towards the end of April!

  • Celebrate with us from 4-6pm on Sunday, April 30th with some good wine and grub at Damn the Weather wine bar. 21+ One great guy, Ian, put this cool fundraiser together to support therapy at Shepherd's:
    1. Relax with a glass of special sparkling wine. Ask your server for the fundraiser drink. Smile
    2. While you're there, purchase a song for Ian's playlist for his marathon run. How cool is that?

100% of your sparkling wine purchases and playlist songs go to support Shepherd's!

  • Know that your voice and actions building awareness truly make an impact to change the culture!

  • Watch this great video produced by the National Sexual Violence Resource Center:

"We can all use our voices to change beliefs ..."
